During 2018 , I was diagnosed with autism and one of the primary modes of therapy was to help me with equine therapy with Renée at Te Horo.

My anxieties were huge being in a different environment and working through some big issues. I found these fears were short lived with Renée, who guided me through with the aid of a horse to learn to trust myself.

Renée helped me listen to my feelings with the dual relationship with the horse.  Renée was trustworthy and sensitive in her approach in equine therapy. With the help of Renée and a horse who chose me,  I was able to form some understanding of both what my feelings were and develop an understanding of a relationship with my horse.

These accomplishments that I developed with Renée have given me significant tools in my journey with autism.
